Transforming Stephanie: Results, Not Excuses

Week 6 of Rev32 got off to a rough start. A very dear friend’s father, whom I thought of as a second dad, unfortunately, passed away. That was really tough to deal with. Despite not having a Rev32 workout session scheduled for that night, I decided to go to ClubSport to work out on my own. I was still in a sort of daze and didn’t work out as hard as I could, but I felt much better afterward. Over the last few weeks, I’ve come to realize how much working out has become a part of my lifestyle and that taking care of myself is a priority.

With that in mind, during the fourth workout of the week, I started to wonder how I would keep this up after Rev32. As a fellow Rev32 participant stated so well, I’ve never been this productive in one hour at the club. I need to start thinking about my workout regimen once the program ends in two weeks.

My niece’s communion was on Saturday and I had a lot of fun going through my closet trying to figure out my outfit because, after six weeks of Rev32, I had several options to choose from. While I don’t know exact numbers in terms of pounds and inches lost, I do know I’ve been successful because my clothes fit me so much better. The dress I chose used to be so uncomfortable, but this time when I wore it, I could finally breathe in it!

If I’m to be totally honest, all week long I had my heart set on eating a slice of traditional Italian custard cake at my niece’s communion — and I did. While it doesn’t exactly go in line with the Rev32 nutritional guidelines, I’m going to say it was OK to eat a bit of cake this time. There’ll be occasions when you have to attend a social event or gathering of some sort and you might fall off track briefly, but it’s a matter of getting back on quickly.

With all the lows and highs that happened this week, I took a minute to reflect on it all and came to realize that things might not always go to plan but that it’s up to oneself to find the motivation and determination to start something and stick with it no matter the circumstances. There will always be a reason or excuse to keep you from achieving your fitness or weight loss goals, but no one else is going to do it for you. You have control of how you want to look and feel. It’s no secret that I’m a huge proponent of Rev32 because it has worked for me. I feel absolutely amazing despite my hectic schedule and crazy sleep patterns.

I’ve put in six weeks of hard work and it’s really showing. I have two weeks left of this Rev32 experience and I promised myself that I will finish strong!
